the Method of Discrete Voltage Reduction

John Joseph Williams

Consumertronics, KY. 1974. Second edition spiral bound guide. Comes with two pieces of related ephemera. Yellowing throughout, otherwise pristine.

I am terribly sad that Mr. John Joseph Williams passed away this year. After a long and storied career running "Consumertronics", he left us behind in March, his warehouse here in Albuquerque sealed like the Vatican Archives. For those that don't know, Mr. Williams was a hacker of sorts - pioneering ways to screw over the man from taking your hard earned money - for example, using magnets to add some drag to your electric meter to lower your bills. His website? A labyrinth. His mind? A steel trap.

I am humbled and honored to offer this copy of "The Method of Discrete Voltage Reduction" and the assorted ephemera to you here. This guide outlines how to reduce voltage to common electric devices without them losing their ability to function...more money in your pocket. Included is a letter to the purchaser of this guide, and a warranty guide as well. I know this all seems maybe a little too hyper nerd, but trust me. Once you open the Consumertronics Door, you're not coming back.
