Fosco Maraini's classic Tibetan travelogue of the early 40s wherein he delves deep into the tantric and shamanic practices associated with Tibetan Buddhism. It's hard to capture how "complete" of a book this is; dozens of photos, maps, pure passion for the documentation of a culture soon to be facing true existential crises. Quite eerie at times! Worth owning.
