Doubleday, NY. 1971. First edition hardcover. Dust jacket is a bit scuffed, with a few vernacular tape repairs and some small tears along the lower edge of the spine. A very good copy.

Truly bugged out sci-fi/fantasy concerning a werewolf named Steve and his witch wife Virginia in a universe where God, Satan, Demons, and Angels are all fact, not myth. This book is an aggregation of multiple stories set in this universe, starring our married spec ops team. I dug this one based on the blurb on the back, which reads:

"Sterility. That was the whole of this place. The sky was absolute and endless black, though in some fashion we could see stars and ugly cindered planets, visibly moving in chaotic paths; they were pieces of a still deeper darkness, not an absence but a negation of light."

What a primo description of Hell. This is one that punches well above it's weight.
