Gordon and Breach, 1973, first edition. Some small tears and a bit of soiling on the rear of the dust jacket. Interior is beautifully preserved. An excellent copy.
Rarely does a book give me the chills such as this. First, The Social Change series of books, edited by the mysterious saint of cybernetics Victor Gioscia, and published by what amounts to a scientific textbook company until they take a hard turn into the weird, are hard to track down, and harder to research. It's almost as if someone, or something, is actively suppressing the ideas put forth in this series. I have some ideas, but fear that the same demiurgic entity may weaponize their legal apparatus against myself.
Second, the imagery in this book is truly haunting, and printed in that vivid and clear way that only textbooks of the 70s really capture. Have you ever wanted to handle a real X-file? Now is your chance. Stunning stuff, as potent as any goat-bound occult grimoire. My "you must purchase this, now, before it falls into the wrong hands" recommendation of the week.
