Acquired in Las Vegas NM. Unknown providence, likely from the Penitentiary of New Mexico. 

Paños are an art form unique to the American Southwest consisting of generally pen ink drawings on prison issued bed sheets and pillow cases. This beautiful piece, measuring approximately 12x10, wrapped to a piece of foam core, has the names "Carlos and Martina" in a lovely script, with the perennial message "I Do Love You" festooned with stars, butterflies, roses, and hearts. Enchanting stuff.
