Chess Life & Review November 1979
United States Chess Federation, NY. 1979. Staple bound magazine. Uniform yellowing as appropriate for it's age, some creasing. Very good.
Chess! The Game of Kings. This fascinating magazine gives us a glimpse into the zeitgeist of the international chess scene on the eve of the 1980s. A lengthy interview with Anatoly Karpov is the highlight here, but the ads, showcasing the very earliest days of computer chess, really pull you into a specific time and place. Some great puzzles, and a few solid editorials round this issue out. Very cool stuff, you won't regret it.
