Antique Musical Instruments and Their Players

Filippo Bonanni

Dover Press, NY. 1964. First edition paperback thus. In remarkably clean condition, an excellent copy.

If you have even a passing interest in the history of musical instruments, nab this one. This is part of Dover's 'pictorial archive" series and is just that - clean reproductions of the plates from Filippo Bonanni's 1723 "Antique Musical Instruments and Their Players". You'll see all sorts of stuff you never heard of, and wonder "what did that sound like?" Very inspiring, very fun.
