Folklore from the Working Folk of America

Tristram Potter Coffin and Hennig Cohen

Anchor Press, NY. 1973. First edition hardcover. There is an attempt to repair/remove a chunk of the back board and text block - see the pictures. It does not affect readability, but as such, we have to call this a reader's copy.

This is a beautiful collection of american folk lore, folk song, and folk knowledge. I really can't recommend this enough for the student of American Mythology. Pieces on powder horn engravings, on jokes that barely make sense, folk song, puppetry...all that is good about the America under America. Highly recommended.
